How long does it take for CSB to make a lending decision for business (commercial) loans?
Every situation is different although once we have all of the information needed for underwriting the applicant may expect a preliminary response within two-weeks. The process varies by loan request size and final processing can usually be completed within six-weeks. This requires approval by the bank’s loan committee or by its board of directors.
Does CSB participate in USDA and SBA assisted transactions?
A good place to start includes three-years business federal income tax return copies or CPA prepared financial statements for the company and three-years FIT returns for any individual that owns 20-percent or more of the company. We also ask for personal financial statement(s) for those > 20-percent owners and company accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory listings. When you are starting a new enterprise (yes, we consider start-ups) we won’t expect historic company financials although well-explained 24 –month projections and a business plan will help. I send new entrepreneurs to the SBA’s website for business plan assistance and to the Michigan Small Business Development Center (michigansbdc.org).

What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
Either come into a branch and let us know or call us. We can go ahead and cancel the old card and re-order new ones that generally ships within 5-10 business days or could be expedited for an additional fee. If you have online banking, you can visit card management services in online banking and turn off the card.
When will my mobile deposit post to my account?
Mobile deposits post to the account the business day after we receive them. It might be good to highlight here that in banking Saturday and Monday are the same business day meaning if you made a mobile deposit during business hours on Saturday, they shouldn’t expect to see it in their account until Tuesday.

Checkbooks have a re-order slip in the back of their checkbooks. Customers can fill out the re-order slip and drop off at the branch, or, customers call us to request a new check order.
