CHELSEA STATE BANK PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO 6 CHELSEA, DEXTER, GRASS LAKE, & JACKSON HIGH GRADUATING SENIORS

TUESDAY JUNE 30, 2026 | WASHTENAW & JACKSON COUNTIES, MI – Chelsea State Bank continues its tradition of investing in tomorrow’s leaders through scholarship contributions to six Class of 2026 Graduating Seniors from Chelsea, Dexter, Grass Lake and Jackson Public Schools High School.

“Investing in the futures of tomorrow’s leaders is a source of pride for the bank,” said Joanne Rau, President and CEO, Chelsea State Bank. “We are committed to the communities we serve, in a variety of ways, this is one way we can exemplify our core values.  Working closely with the schools and their scholarship committees, we were able to provide six high school graduating seniors with scholarships to help them on their way to achieving their aspirations.  Each year, we are continuously impressed with the accomplishments of the scholarship applicants, their philanthropic efforts, and their future goals.  This generation is going to continue to positively impact their communities.” 

Kialye Harrell of Jackson Public Schools received the Jackson High School 2026 Ambassador Chelsea State Bank Corporate Scholarship. She will be attending Jackson College in the fall to pursue a career in Sports & Business Management.

Kera Root & Ethan Vince of Dexter Community Schools were awarded Chelsea State Bank Corporate Scholarships.  Kera is actively improving her welding skills and will be attending Cleary University to pursue a degree in Business, and Ethan will be heading out East for college, where he will be playing water polo while advancing his education in the business field of study.

Jacob Gietzen, and Sam Dawes, Chelsea School District both received Paul E. Mann Memorial Scholarships from Chelsea State Bank.  Jacob will be heading to Indiana University in the fall where he plans to pursue a degree in Business. Sam will be attending Michigan State University’s Board College of Business in the Fall. 

Benjamin Hein, Grass Lake Community Schools, was the first Grass Lake Student Recipient of the Chelsea State Bank Corporate Scholarship this year.  He was actively involved in a variety of philanthropic efforts including The Lost Railway Museum and various school-related volunteer hours through National Honors Society.
